Today we continued our pursuit of perfect rotations by rotating around the origin, and around a point not at the origin with Notes #56.

Today we did the next form of a Transformation a rotation. We utilized  two formulas to help rotate our triangles.

Monday 3/24

Today we began our geometry unit by taking a look at two different types of transformations: translations and reflections with Notes #54.

Homework #94: Draw a ΔABC on a piece of graph paper.

1. Reflect ΔABC about the y-axis.
2. Reflect ΔABC about the x-axis.
3. Translate ΔABC 3 units to the right and 4 units down.

Today we spent the class period reviewing for Common Assessment #7.

You received two preview sheets that look very similar to the assessment you'll be taking tomorrow. We want everyone to be proficient, so please do you part.

Wednesday 2/26

Today in class we learned how to solve systems of equations by elimination with Notes #51. We now know three different methods, and you should be proficient with all three.

• Solving by graphing
• Solving by substitution
• Solving by elimination

You spent the day reviewing and practicing solving systems of linear equations by substitution. There are no notes from today.

Also, Monday you did an elimination worksheet  we began working on solving systems using elimination. In elimination, we add two equations from the system to remove one of the variables. We then solve that equation for the single variable and finally plug it back in to find the other variable.
